FAFSA is the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid.  ALL seniors should complete the FAFSA and it is REQUIRED for A+ and other financial aid.  Please note the deadlines for your college.  The Missouri deadline is APRIL 1, but many colleges have an earlier deadline.  

PRIVATE STUDENT LOANS - Not all students qualify for grants and scholarships.  Make sure you understand what private student loans are and how they work.

Caring Closet

The Caring Closet is open to ANYONE.  Many teens are living on their own, responsible for food, shelter and basic needs.  Things others take for granted, such as clean clothes, hot meals, and basic necessities are often a daily struggle.  The intent of the Caring Closet is to help these students by providing a variety of daily resources to make the day-to-day living easier.  If you need an item not currently available in the Closet (located outside Ms. Lewis' and Mr. Horn's doors), let Ms. Ray know and we will do our best to get it!

ACT Test Prep-Start practicing today!

ACT Practice - follow the link and go to  Practice Tests-Academic and Professional > College Prep Center > Prepare for Your ACT.  Create an account; everyone has to do this to use the practice tests. Click on ACT practice tests.  Choose the area you would like to practice.  Ms. Scheel recommends "Practice" or "Learner" mode.  They tutor you as you take the tests.  

Check out the ASVAB practice site.  ASVAB Practice Test Online provides a full length ASVAB practice test with sample questions from each section designed to emulate the official ASVAB test questions. All of our ASVAB test prep articles and tests are 100% free. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test is an exam that is administered to newly-entering members of the military in order to assess their aptitude for various skills and subject matters.

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Enter into a written agreement with your high school prior to graduation.
  • Attend a designated A+ high school for 2 years immediately prior to graduation.1
  • Graduate with an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have at least a 95% attendance record overall for grades 9-12.
  • Perform at least 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring, of which up to 25% may include job shadowing prior to graduation. 2
  • Maintain a record of good citizenship and avoid the unlawful use of drugs and/or alcohol while in grades 9-12.
  • Have achieved a score of proficient or advanced on the Algebra I end of course exam or a higher level DESE approved end-of-course exam in the field of mathematics.3
